For cousins Gill Sutherland and Debbie Muhleisen the fun and personal service they have created within their store Estrogen
“it’s a girl thing”, has created a very obvious repeat business culture. Previously as owners of a homewares store in another retail precinct of Noosa, this visionary pair introduced a small line of clothing which sold so well they decided to alter their direction. “Really, we evolved from a small Homewares shop with a select range of clothing that really took over.” said Gill.
“We decided to move over to Noosa Civic when it first opened and focus on offering a greatly extended range of clothing lines, accessories, shoes and giftware because we really felt it was the right location for this type of business.” It’s a move that has really paid off.
They now have 4 staff, one of which has been with them for 9 years, and by introducing a rewards system offering VIP customers a 10% discount on regular prices they now have a loyal following of local customers.
Gill and Debbie have also taken their business to the next level with a dedicated Facebook page and a new website which is currently under construction. The website itself promises to bring a whole new dimension to their customers by providing an on-line catalogue including an invaluable “mix and match” advice section, while their Facebook page is already offering monthly draws for a $100 store gift voucher. The laughter and energy inside the store is immediately obvious to shoppers and will be sure to continue to enhance the Estrogen shopping experience.
